Robert Greve Biography

 

        Private Robert Greve, age twenty, was reported missing in action in France, on August 8, 1944, and died in a German prison camp on August 9, 1944.

Bob graduated from New Milford Junior High School in June 1939, and moved to Hillsdale soon after. He graduated from Westwood High in 1942 and entered the Army in February 1943. He received his basic training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and was assigned to the Army Specialized Training Program at the Universities of North Carolina and Maine to study engineering.

He was transferred to the Infantry in February 1944, and was sent overseas to England in May 1944.

He was serving with Cannon Co., 134th Infantry.
